Terms of Service

About the service

MyPaperMaps is a free hobby website for keeping track of a paper-map collection, run by a private individual in the United Kingdom. Contact: hello@mypapermaps.co.uk. By using the site you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

Using the site

The site is free for personal use. Use it lawfully and considerately: don't try to break in, disrupt the service, abuse other people's accounts or data, submit content that is unlawful or offensive, or overload the site with automated traffic.

Your account

Map information you submit

If you submit map details, corrections or problem reports, you confirm you are allowed to share that information, and you give MyPaperMaps a non-exclusive permission to display it on the site. Accepted map outlines become part of the shared map that other users rely on; if you later delete your account they are kept, but permanently de-attributed from you.

Moderation

Submissions are reviewed before they join the shared map, and we may edit or decline them. We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms or harms the service, and we may withdraw or change the service itself.

Retailer links

The site can show links to external retailers who sell maps. Those are independent sites we don't control. When retailer links are shown they are labelled, and MyPaperMaps earns a commission if you buy - at no extra cost to you.

Availability and liability

MyPaperMaps is a free hobby service. We take reasonable care, but cannot promise that it will always be available or error-free. Keep your own record of anything important and do not rely on the site for navigation or safety-critical use. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes and ending the agreement

We may update these terms when the service or the law changes. Material changes will be clearly posted. If you do not agree, you can stop using the service and delete your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
